The Socialist Workers Party is a Trotskyist party in Great Britain. It was
founded as the Socialist Review Group in 1950, renamed into the International
Socialists in 1962 and adopted the current name in 1977. On the international
level, the party is the key member of a Trotskyist current named the
International Socialist Tendency, having aided the formation of many of the
member groups in other countries and being the main organizer of their
international meetings, the movement having no formal organisational structures
otherwise.

The party flag is red, with a gold clenched fist in center, which bears the initials SWP in red inscribed at the wrist. The ratio may vary a bit, but is typically 2:3 or close. The fist occupies about 1/2 of the flag width and its shape may slightly vary, as does the text style, which is typically oblique and may sometimes be bold and/or regular.
